OUR MISSION

Jonathan was a man whose life reflected love, service, and faith. Born to Lawrence and Arlene on June 27, 1969, he was the middle of five children and raised in the Jewish faith. Gifted in both academics and the arts, he excelled in school, shining as an athlete and in the theater. But beyond his talents, he was known for his heart, a peacemaker, a giver, and a man of integrity.

A graduate of Hamilton College with a degree in science, Jonathan dedicated his career to excellence at GSK, where his colleagues admired his diligence, generosity, and commitment to helping others beyond the call of duty. His work was not just a profession, but a reflection of his character, always striving to serve with excellence.

Jonathan’s life took on even greater meaning when he met GretaJo. Their love was built on trust, respect, and a shared desire to serve others. Together, they raised four wonderful children, Shoshannah, Noah, Carson, and Greta Rebecca, and welcomed many foster children into their home. One special boy, K******, became a constant companion to Jonathan, further exemplifying his fatherly heart and nurturing spirit.

Guided by their faith in Yeshua, Jonathan and GretaJo poured their love into missions, traveling to Guatemala to serve widows and orphans and working in Africa and other nations to share the gifts and talents God had given them. Their greatest joy was in giving back, showing the love of Yeshua to those in need.

Then, in the blink of an eye, Jonathan was called home on February 1, 2022. His passing was sudden, leaving his loved ones in deep sorrow. But even in grief, GretaJo remembered a vision she and Jonathan had shared, turning their blueberry field into a place where families could gather, experience joy, and feel the love that had been poured into the land with every prayer, every weed pulled, and every act of care.

With tears, honor, and an abiding faith, she chose to move forward, making the blueberry field a legacy of love, a place where Yeshua remains at the center of every pick. As Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Even in sorrow, hope endures, and Jonathan’s legacy of love continues to bear fruit.

Proverbs 11:25 declares, "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." This was the essence of Jonathan’s life—a life that, though ended too soon, remains a testimony of faith, generosity, and boundless love.
